Agile Coffee is a variation of Flash meeting. The name Lean Coffee introduces a notion of limited time to present the subject of the day.
In team coaching, when certain topics are debated and opinions are contradictory, I invite opponents to post the topic on a parking sign called Lean Coffee.
A date of the next coffee is agreed in session and the opponents have to prepare the subject of inverted way: that is to say taking the point of view of the other. On D-Day, everyone is invited to present each other’s arguments in less than 3 minutes.
In many cases, opponents naturally converge on a common point of view through this understanding of opposing points of view.
The subject thus clarified can possibly be embarked by the team.
